چکیده

We propose a bilinear sampling algorithm in Green’s function Monte Carlo for expectation values of operators that do not commute with the Hamiltonian and for differences between eigenvalues of different Hamiltonians. The integral representations of the Schroedinger equations are transformed into two equations whose solution has the form ψa(x)t(x, y)ψb(y), where ψa and ψb are the wavefunctions for the two related systems and t(x, y) is a kernel chosen to couple x and y. The Monte Carlo process, with random walkers on the enlarged configuration space x ⊗ y, solves these equations by generating densities whose asymptotic form is the above bilinear distribution. With such a distribution, exact Monte Carlo estimators can be obtained for the expectation values of quantum operators and for energy differences. We present results of these methods applied to several test problems, including a model integral equation, and the hydrogen atom.

Bilinear diffusion quantum Monte Carlo methods.

The standard method of quantum Monte Carlo for the solution of the Schrödinger equation in configuration space can be described quite generally as devising a random walk that generates-at least asymptotically-populations of random walkers whose probability density is proportional to the wave function of the system being studied. While, in principle, the energy eigenvalue of the Hamiltonian can ...

Solvent Effect on Aquaporin4

Aquaporins are integral membrane proteins from a larger family of major intrinsic proteins that formpores in the membrane of biological cells. Aquaporins form tetramers in the cell membrane with eachmonomer acting as a water channel. In this research, the AQP4 tetramer was modeled from its PDBstructure file, then, we have performed the intraction of aquaporin4 in different temperatures (298k,300...

Monte Carlo study of half–magnetization plateau and magnetic phase diagram in pyrochlore antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model

The antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on a pyrochlore lattice under external magnetic field is studied by classical Monte Carlo simulation. The model includes bilinear and biquadratic interactions; the latter effectively describes the coupling to lattice distortions. The magnetization process shows a half–magnetization plateau at low temperatures, accompanied with strong suppression of the mag...

Released-phase quantum Monte Carlo method

The correlation function Monte Carlo method for calculating ground and excited state properties is extended to complex Hamiltonians and used to calculate the spectrum of neutral helium in a wide range of magnetic fields, a system of particular interest in astrophysics. Correlation functions in imaginary time are evaluated for a set of trial functions over a random walk whose dynamics is governe...
